On February 24th, our bilingual section students participated in the reforestation of some areas around the school in Herrera del Duque and the river banks in Peloche. This outdoor activity was organised by the English Department with the help of the Biology teacher, Cándido.
First of all, two representatives of the environmentally friendly organization, Adenex, gave the children a little lecture about the benefits of reforestation.
They told the students that planting new trees can help to reduce the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere and has the potential to preserve endangered species.
Forest restoration can also reverse the damage done by erosion .
After that, our students went to the chosen areas and started planting trees with their own hands. They learnt how reforestation is an easy and excellent way to to protect the environment
